Two things:

1) there is a streak indicator as of an update, as well as the multiplier indicator

2) New songs have been added. While some people may not like them, as they are rock/heavy, I think it's pretty fun to play

Just wanted to point out some things that might make you like the game more.

v2 of the game is now available and fixes a hell of a lot of the problems the first release had. They've also included extra cars, course records, map overlays and tweaked the steering control sensitivity. All in a all not bad for a free game.

One of the best games for the iPod Touch so far. The production values are ridiculously high for a free game, this could so easily have been sold for $5.
The use of the accelerometer to be able to change the rotation of the game area makes it incredibly fun to play and a sight more intelligent than Bejeweled (which now seems like a poor, distant cousin!)
Get this now, it rocks and it's free!

Well, I broke down and bought Spore. Wasn't disappointed. Only problem with it, is it's a bit short. I do recommend it, though.

The updated game has better continuation options as well as pausing for incoming calls and text messages. Much improved and now comes with instructions! It took 10 minutes to figure out how to enter initials though because the instructions still omit this part.

I can't wait to see your next line of games :)

A lot of games flooded into the store over the past 2 weeks, and many of them look quite impressive. To be honest, I've been spending my app allowance on utilities mostly, and music software. So, I'm being very picky about games lately.

Although, Asphalt looks pretty slick, and Spore is getting raving user reviews so far.

By the way, I'm pretty sure that Apple has fixed the free-to-paid rankings loophole. Sometime this week, Expando disappeared from the top 100 paid list, after being in the top 10 the day before. It's still pretty high up in its category, if sorted by popularity, so it looks like they're filtering the top 100 paid list for any apps that were previously free.

My 2 cents here is that even if Apple has some shotcomings there is one undeniable fact, the iPhone is popular and nearly everyone wants it.

In addition to that the device has only one configuration. I've been developing for 6 years, almost at the start when smartphones are gaining in popularity, on different mobile technologies like J2ME, BREW, Symbian and WindowsMobileOS. Honestly working and optimizing your software, adjusting the look and feel, etc. for different handsets with different hardware specifications, different screen sizes, and so on is a pain and very unproductive.

Sure the Android will get its piece of the market but the Appstore will still be on top solely because of the iPhone. It's also a godsend for indie developers who doesn't have much resources or the luxury of time to test and optimize their software on ten different handsets with varying hardware.

P.S. LOL at -2 Aaron

I don't think it'll even be a contest. Android Market was created from the ground-up for that specific purpose. Whereas the App Store was shoehorned into a digital music delivery system.
